How to enable Event Ticket Discount Codes?
Event Ticket Discount Codes allow discounted pricing on paid event tickets. Percentage or flat amount discounts can be created, and 100% discount codes can also be set up for tickets. When a 100% discount is applied, no platform fees are charged.
Note: Discount codes are only supported for paid tickets. They cannot be used with free ticket types.
Creating a Discount Code
To create a discount code, Navigate to Discount Codes under Ticketing & Check-in tab and click on Add Discount Code on the bottom right.
Enter the Unique Code that participants will use during checkout, then choose the Discount Type. You can create either a Percentage discount, which reduces the ticket price by a percentage, or a Flat Amount discount, which deducts a specific value from the ticket price.
Next, enter the Discount Value, specify the Use Limit (the maximum number of times the code can be redeemed), and set the Maximum Use Per Order (the maximum number of tickets that can receive the discount in a single order). Finally, choose whether the discount code should apply to all ticket types or only specific ticket types. Once configured, click Save to make the discount code available for ticket purchases.
How It Works
When participants enter a valid discount code during checkout and click on apply, the applicable discount is automatically applied to the eligible tickets.
Once a valid discount code is applied, the discount is deducted from the total ticket amount, and the updated total is displayed before payment.
